Abstract

This study aims to determine the leadership of the head of MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in fostering a moderate Islamic culture and the results of its development. This research uses descriptive qualitative research methods. This study concludes that the leadership of the head of MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau consists of the roles of leader, administrator, supervisor, educator, manager, motivator and innovator. The results of fostering a moderate Islamic culture in the aspect of faith are holding religious lectures, emphasizing the application of moral teachings. In the aspect of worship, by establishing a tahfiz house and a tahfiz Al-Qur’anprogram, incorporating tahfiz Qur’anlessons in local content lessons, providing 30 juz hafiz Qur’anteachers, and boarding students for a month memorizing the Qur’anregularly. take turns. In the moral aspect, there are more arts and sports activities than religious activities, both for teachers and staff and for students
