Abstract

This mentoring activity aims to empower the study group to protect and prevent violence against children and women. Two approach strategies are used, namely the classical approach and the group approach. The classical approach is used to increase the insight and understanding of group members about the values of Islamic education in the family, reproductive health, and the importance of preventing violence against children and women. The group approach is used to help groups make action plans in providingassistance to victims or their families who have the potential to become victims. Mentoring activities for the empowerment of recitation groups as an effort to protect and prevent violence against children and women include; socialization about the valuesof Islamic education in the family, reproductive health and its relation to the prevention of violence against children and women, assisting groups in preparing group work programs for the prevention and alleviation of cases of violence against childrenand women, assisting groups in identifying victims or families who are potential victims , assisting groups in approaching victims and their families who are potential victims, training group members to provide psychological assistance to victims and their families who are potential victims, assisting groups in collaborating with related parties for the prevention and alleviation of cases of violence against children and women, assisting groups to participate in various activities at the Kelurahan level asa means to detect families who have the potential to become victims of violence and to socialize prevention measures against cases of violence against children and women.Keywords:Empowerment of study groups; prevention of violence against children and women
