Pengembangan Budaya Organisasi Inovatif Staf Akademik di Perguruan Tinggi: Kendala dan Solusi

Abstract

: This study aims to identify obstacles to developing an innovative organizational culture in the work environment of academic staff at one of the universities in Curup, Bengkulu. This study also aims to explore the solutions provided by leaders to overcome obstacles faced by academic staff. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. Study participants were selected using a purposive sampling technique, consisting of 20 academic staff and 2 leaders. Data was collected through interviews, observations and open questionnaires. Data was analyzed using an interactive model with components of data collection, data compression, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Research findings show that academic staff face a number of obstacles, including less than ideal communication about change, concerns about a lack of training and support, and limited resources. Other obstacles include daily process barriers, collaboration barriers, communication limitations, lack of focus on skill development, limited time and resources, and challenges in responding to change. Leaders can improve communication, develop strong communication systems, improve daily work routines, increase adaptability through special training, evaluate organizational structures, be directly involved in innovation, and provide clear incentives to provide effective direction to employees.
