Abstract

Human resource development management has become a strategic aspect in improving the quality and competitiveness of Islamic educational institutions in the disruptive era. Rapid technological advancement, digital transformation, and increasingly complex organizational challenges require educational institutions to develop professional, adaptive, and competent human resources. Therefore, effective human resource development management is essential to ensure the sustainability and progress of Islamic educational institutions in responding to contemporary challenges. This study employed a qualitative descriptive approach using a literature review method. Data were collected from books and scientific journal articles published within the last five years to ensure relevance to current developments in educational management. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing techniques. The findings indicate that the disruptive era has intensified competition among educational institutions, requiring Islamic educational institutions to strengthen their human resource development strategies. Human resource development contributes significantly to organizational effectiveness and efficiency through continuous training and education, professional cadre formation, strengthening discipline and organizational commitment, providing adequate facilities and infrastructure, and improving employee welfare. These efforts enable educational personnel and institutional managers to adapt to technological changes and enhance institutional performance. The study concludes that strengthening human resource development management is a fundamental requirement for creating competitive, innovative, and sustainable Islamic educational institutions in the digital era.
