PROJECT BASED LEARNING BERBASIS KEARIFAN LOKAL PADA PEMBELAJARAN PANCASILA DI SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Teaching Pancasila in elementary schools requires learning experiences that help students understand and apply the values of Pancasila in their daily lives. This study aims to analyze the implementation of Project-Based Learning (PjBL) grounded in local wisdom, the Pancasila values developed, its contribution to learning, and the gaps in previous research. The study employed a systematic literature review (SLR) method with selection criteria based on PRISMA 2020. Articles were searched via Harzing’s Publish or Perish using the Google Scholar database for publications from 2020 to 2026. Of the 150 articles identified, 12 met the criteria and were analyzed descriptively through thematic synthesis. The results of the study indicate that PjBL provides students with opportunities to understand the values of Pancasila through project planning, collaboration, product creation, presentations, and reflection. Integrating local wisdom as the context and activities of a project brings learning closer to students’ experiences. The most consistent findings relate to the strengthening of mutual cooperation, collaboration, responsibility, empathy, and respect for differences; a number of studies also report improvements in conceptual understanding and creativity. However, the direct integration of local traditions remains limited; most studies were conducted in a single classroom or school, and their long-term impacts have not been extensively researched. Thus, PjBL based on local wisdom has the potential to support contextual learning in Pancasila Education, but it requires structured project design and teacher guidance, as well as further testing in more diverse contexts.
