Abstract

This study explored the e-learning training implementation which covered the lecturers’ perspective, the barriers, and its solution. The research population was 50 postgraduate lecturers; however, only 9 English education postgraduate lecturers joined this training. The research design of this study was qualitative research which applied observation checklist, interview, and note taking as the instruments to collect the data. The data analysis of this study used a qualitative method which comprised several steps i.e., collecting, coding, organizing, and interpreting the data. The findings showed that the implementation of e-learning has been done by the trainer and the lecturers followed it. However, the problems that occurred during the implementation of this training were lack of discipline, poor material understanding, bad electricity, bad internet connection, unavailable modules of e-learning, and the old age of the participants. The trainer provided the assistant to help them in handling these issues. Another finding was that most of the lecturers had a positive perspective about e-learning training because this training could assist them in teaching.
