Abstract

The existence of a mixture of religion and local culture of society has experienced many changes in the tradition of developing in a society,especially in terms of practice and meaning, one form of mixing religion and culture in Indonesian society can be seen in the ruwahan tradition carried out by the Muara Tiku community influenced by the tradition of anism,one tradition of sending prayers to the spirits of the ancestors. This research is motivated by the existence of the tradition alms tradition carried carried out by the Muara Tiku community,the research method is carried out directly on the object of research,the material obtained from this study is arranged sistematicallly reviewed and then drawn a conculusion in relation to the study,thi research as qualitative research. The results of the study:1.The pocess of implementing alms ruwah by the Muara Tiku community,carried out every before the pasting month and Eid al-fitr.Carrying out alms ruwah,reading a letter of yasin,dhikr,or tahlil and covered with prayer and eating betel.2.Direkah ruwah tradition in the Muara Tiku community are allowed as long as they do not deviate from what the Apostle teaches,such as there is no habit of burning incense and things that contain shirk and others but nowadays they have the habit so that they apotle do alms ruwah they do now allowed in Islamic law.3.The process of the traditional alms ruwah that is repeated very year is a process of perfecting meaning.
