Abstract

This study aims to find out the difference between memorizing English vocabulary through music by not using music. The subjects in this study were kindergarten students aged between 5,0-6,5 years. In this study music is used as a means of teaching vocabulary in English.Based on the results of the study it was found that in terms of intelligence tests not significantly different in the control group and the experimental group. The study also foundthat the ability to remember the child's English lexicon at pretest between the control group and the experimental group had no significant difference. Based on the results of calculations in this study showed that between the two groups together experienced an increase in the ability to remember the English lexicon both delivered by conventional methods and through music with English-speaking children’s songs.
