The Study is the Cause of the Development of Muhammadiyah Education K.H. Ahmad Dahlan. The goal is to find out what emerged from the idea. Muhammadiyah is a modern educational institution and a pioneer of other institutions. This type of survey is a literature survey that uses a descriptive analytical approach. The development of modern Islamic education in Indonesia stems from the dichotomy of well-educated indigenous peoples during the Dutch colonial period and the various influences that shaped the development of the Islamic education system in Indonesia. Starting from the spirit of change, leaving Dutch colonialism, the concept of national education (indigenous people, people, nationalists) began to emerge, which helped national education and fueled nationalism. Muhammadiyah's educational philosophy focuses on the combination of belief and progress in thinking. K. H. Ahmad Daran also succeeded in combining two different sciences from becoming one. As a result, Muhammadiyah Education is the pioneer and pioneer of modern Islamic education. Education Reform by K.H. Ahmad Dalan created the Muhammadiyah Educational Institution with integrity in its educational system and practice, became a modern educational institution and pioneered other educational institutions
