Abstract

Improving the quality of the process and learning outcomes is a challenge in the implementation of education at SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong. Therefore, as educators, teachers really determine the quality of learning. Teachers are required to have high motivation and pedagogic competence in carrying out their duties. In general, the quality of teachers at SMA Negeri 4 Rejang Lebong as many as 71% of teachers who have attended the training have motivation and pedagogic competence which are in the high category, and 29% of teachers who have not attended the training are in the medium and low categories. The research method uses descriptive analysis method with quantitative and qualitative approaches or mixed methods. Data obtained from interviews, document analysis and questionnaires. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded that there were differences between teachers who had attended the training both in terms of motivation, pedagogic competence and learning quality. From the calculation of the regression simultaneously obtained that motivation and pedagogic competence can affect the quality of learning. Therefore, 29% of teachers who have not attended the training are expected to have the opportunity to take part in trainings to develop motivation and pedagogic competence. Meanwhile, 71% of teachers are expected to maintain their motivation and pedagogical competence in order to achieve good learning quality
